At our own riding stables, you will find ponies, Haflingers and warmblood horses. Whether it’s your first attempts at riding on a pony, a riding lesson with instructor Sonja Dankl or a horseback ride through the Pinzgau countryside, young and old horse lovers alike will enjoy wonderful moments in the saddle here. With true conviction, we use organic products from local farmers as well as from our own organic farm. Reidinggut, our organic farm, is located directly behind the hotel. It is passionately run by father Alois, who supplies our kitchen not only with pork and lamb, but also with game from our own hunting grounds. Our dishes are refined with herbs from our own garden. Awarded the AMA Genuss Region Gastronomie quality seal, our kitchen delights you with regional classics and international specialities alike.

Enjoy fresh game dishes from our own hunting grounds in our restaurant. Passionate hunter and father Alois supplies our kitchen with chamois, roe deer, and red deer from the high alpine hunting area of Kalmbach-Schneegrube.

From a tavern to the renowned wellness and family hotel we know today: our Hotel Gasthof Schörhof was first mentioned in 1550 as a tavern and at that time also served as a changing station for coachmen and postal horses. The word “Schör” in the hotel’s name refers to unhitching and rehitching the postal horses. Even in the time of Maria Theresa, our house was granted fishing rights on the Saalach, which we still hold to this day.
