If you love getting on the pedals, you’ve come to the right place. More than 720 kilometres of mountain bike routes with single trails and bike parks start right at Schörhof, along with 480 kilometres of relaxed valley cycle paths for easy tours with the whole family. From sporty downhill rides in Leogang to leisurely tours along the Saalach, there’s something for everyone. You can conveniently rent the right bikes directly from our hotel, so nothing stands in the way of your perfect biking day.

After an active day, nothing feels better than diving into cool water. Little ones can splash around in our solar-heated outdoor pool and in the indoor adventure pool right in the house, while you enjoy the sun on the lawn. If you prefer lake swimming, crystal-clear Lake Ritzensee is just a few minutes away. With the Saalfelden Leogang Card, admission to the region’s outdoor pools is even free.

Around 400 kilometres of hiking trails of all difficulty levels lead you to rustic alpine huts, crystal-clear mountain lakes and scenic summits. The best way to explore is with father Alois, who personally accompanies you to his favourite spots and brings the nature of our home region to life along the way. If you prefer to conquer the mountains vertically, you’ll find via ferratas and a high ropes course close by.

Our tip: If you head to the Steinalm and reserve in advance, you’ll be rewarded with a wonderful alpine breakfast and views across the Saalfelden basin.

For golf fans, Saalfelden is a little paradise. Two 18-hole courses are located right in town, and six more can be reached in around half an hour. As our guest, you receive a 30% discount on the green fee at Golfclub Brandlhof. Enjoy your game and let your gaze wander over Salzburg’s mountains between shots.

Right next to Schörhof, the Bowfire 3D archery course with up to 28 animal targets invites you to hit the bullseye. While shooting your bow surrounded by nature, you draw, breathe deeply and focus all your concentration on the next target. Whether it’s your first try or you already have a steady hand, you can rent the right equipment from our reception on request.

Experience hunting in the high mountains up close. On a hunt or guided hunting tour with father Alois, you’ll head up to our Kalmbach-Schneegrube hunting grounds at altitudes of up to 2,500 metres, where the quiet mountain world and the untouched beauty of nature await. This special experience is designed for experienced mountain hikers in good physical condition. We’ll be happy to provide the current shooting fees on request.

When skiing and snowboarding, you benefit from our central location between two major ski areas: Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang and the Maria Alm am Hochkönig ski region. Perfectly prepared pistes, modern lifts and fun parks for every skill level put smiles on the faces of beginners and experienced winter sports enthusiasts alike.

As a cross-country skier, you can set off almost right from our doorstep. Around 90 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails wind through the snow-covered landscape around Saalfelden. Whether classic or skating style, whether on the illuminated floodlit trail in the evening or the sporty race trail, everyone will find the right track through Salzburg’s winter here.

Tobogganing is simply part of a real winter holiday. The toboggan runs in the region and our own sledging hill here at the farm promise plenty of fun on the runners. A huge delight for the whole family that’s guaranteed to bring rosy cheeks and lots of laughter.

Even in the snow, our home region reveals its most beautiful side. On cleared winter hiking trails, you can stroll through sparkling landscapes, and on a guided snowshoe hike, you can trek off the beaten path through untouched deep snow. That’s how you can experience the silence of Salzburg’s mountain world all to yourselves.

A cosy horse-drawn sleigh ride creates wonderfully romantic moments in the snow. Wrapped up warm, you glide through the snow-covered winter landscape while only the sound of the bells and the horses’ breathing breaks the silence.

When Lake Ritzensee freezes over, it turns into a magical natural ice rink. Lace up your skates and enjoy your laps against a stunning mountain backdrop. It’s an open-air winter pleasure that makes the day truly special.

Archery doesn’t take a winter break here. The Bowfire 3D archery course right at Schörhof is open all year round. Even in the cold season, you can take aim at up to 28 animal targets. Shooting in the glistening snow is a very special thrill.
